What the procedure involves: A small incision is placed under the chin (hidden in the natural chin crease) through which submental liposuction removes the double chin and excess submental fat. The platysmal muscle edges are then sutured together in the midline — platysmaplasty — eliminating neck bands and creating a firm, defined muscular foundation. Additional incisions placed within the ear creases allow excess loose neck skin to be re-draped and excised. The combined result is a sharply defined jawline, a smooth, taut neck, and complete elimination of the turkey neck appearance.
