Rebuilding from Within

As we age, the production of collagen and elastin — the structural proteins that keep skin firm, plump, and lifted — gradually declines. By our 30s, collagen levels drop approximately 1% per year, leading to progressive sagging, loss of facial contour, and the formation of jowls, nasolabial folds, and loose neck skin.

Our non-invasive skin tightening treatments use controlled thermal energy (radiofrequency) and focused ultrasound energy (HIFU — High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) to heat the deep dermis and superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) layer — triggering an immediate collagen contraction and a sustained neocollagenesis (new collagen formation) response that continues for up to 6 months post-treatment.

The result is a visible lift, tightening, and redefinition of facial and body contours that continues to improve over time — achieved entirely from within, without surgery or injection.

Radiofrequency & HIFU

Monopolar / Bipolar Radiofrequency (RF): Delivers controlled thermal energy into the dermal and subdermal layers, heating collagen fibres to 40–43°C. This triggers immediate contraction and long-term remodelling. Ideal for facial tightening, jowl reduction, neck laxity, and body contouring.

HIFU (Ultherapy / High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound): Focuses ultrasound energy precisely at 1.5mm, 3mm, and 4.5mm skin depths — targeting the same layer as a surgical facelift (the SMAS). Results are gradual and progressive, reaching their peak at 3–6 months and lasting up to 18–24 months.

These two modalities are frequently combined in a single treatment session for synergistic results — HIFU for deep structural lifting and RF for surface-level tightening and skin quality improvement.

The Skin Tightening Process

01

Skin Laxity Assessment

Your dermatologist evaluates the degree and distribution of skin laxity, facial volume loss, and anatomical structure to recommend the most appropriate tightening modality and treatment depth settings.

02

Before Photos & Marking

Standardised before photos are taken for outcome tracking. Treatment zones are mapped and marked on the face or body — areas of greatest laxity are prioritised, and energy delivery is planned systematically.

03

Skin Preparation

The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed and a conductive gel is applied. Topical numbing cream is available for patients preferring additional comfort, particularly for HIFU treatments over bony areas.

04

Energy Delivery

The treatment handpiece is systematically passed over the treatment zones, delivering precise thermal energy at programmed depths. The device’s real-time temperature monitoring ensures controlled, safe heating throughout.

05

Post-Treatment Cooling

A soothing moisturiser and SPF are applied following treatment. The skin may appear flushed and feel mildly warm for a few hours. Makeup can be applied the same day for RF treatments.

06

Progressive Improvement

Collagen synthesis continues for up to 6 months post-treatment. Review appointments are scheduled at 4–6 weeks and 3 months to monitor progress and adjust the plan if additional sessions are beneficial.

Why Choose Non-Invasive Skin Tightening

Surgical-Level Results Without Surgery

HIFU targets the SMAS layer — the same anatomical plane addressed in a surgical facelift — delivering a genuine structural lift without incisions, general anaesthesia, or recovery time.

Stimulates Natural Collagen

Rather than adding foreign substances, these treatments stimulate your body’s own collagen regeneration — producing results that look and feel naturally youthful, not “done.”

Progressive, Long-Lasting Results

Improvement continues for up to 6 months following treatment as new collagen matures and remodels. Results typically last 18–24 months, making it a highly cost-effective investment in your appearance.

Treats Face & Body

Beyond facial rejuvenation, RF tightening is highly effective for body contouring — addressing loose skin on the arms, abdomen, thighs, and knees following weight loss or post-partum changes.

No Anaesthesia Required

Treatment is performed with the patient fully awake and comfortable. There are no injections, no scalpels, and no recovery room — just a comfortable procedure followed by an immediate return to daily life.

Pairs Beautifully with Other Treatments

Skin tightening combines synergistically with dermal fillers (volume restoration), botulinum toxin (dynamic wrinkle reduction), and laser resurfacing for a comprehensive, non-surgical facial rejuvenation programme.

Who Is Non-Invasive Tightening For?

Ideal Candidates
  • Men and women aged 30–65 with mild to moderate skin laxity
  • Individuals with loose, sagging skin on the face, neck, or jowls
  • Those with body skin laxity post weight loss or post-pregnancy
  • Patients seeking a non-surgical facelift alternative
  • Individuals wanting to delay or avoid surgical intervention
  • Those looking to enhance results between or after surgical procedures
  • Patients with premature skin ageing due to sun exposure or lifestyle
Considerations
  • Severe or advanced skin laxity may require surgical correction for optimal outcomes
  • Active skin infections, rashes, or inflammatory conditions in the treatment area
  • Patients with pacemakers or metal implants are not suitable for RF treatments
  • Pregnancy — treatment should be deferred until after delivery and nursing
  • Open wounds, recent surgical scars, or active Accutane use require careful timing
  • Very thin patients with minimal subcutaneous fat may find HIFU more uncomfortable

Skin Tightening Questions Answered

How many sessions do I need?
Many patients see excellent results from a single HIFU session. For RF tightening, 3–5 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart are typical. Maintenance sessions annually help sustain the lifting effect long-term.
Is it painful?
HIFU can produce temporary deep warming or tingling sensations as energy reaches deep tissue layers. RF treatments are generally very comfortable. Topical numbing is available to enhance your experience.
Can it replace a surgical facelift?
For mild to moderate laxity, non-invasive tightening achieves remarkable results. For severe sagging, surgery may be more appropriate. Our dermatologists will provide an honest assessment of what will best meet your goals.
What areas can be treated?
Face (forehead, cheeks, jowls, underchin), neck, décolletage, arms, abdomen, thighs, and knees. Both facial contouring and body skin tightening protocols are available.
Is there downtime after treatment?
None. Mild temporary redness or swelling may occur for a few hours. Normal daily activities including work, social events, and light exercise can be resumed immediately.
How long do results last?
HIFU results typically last 18–24 months. RF results vary by the number of sessions and the patient’s ongoing collagen production rate. Annual maintenance sessions significantly extend outcomes.
